I called ifixit phone number, and left message and they ignored it.

3.7v 1800 ma

I have psp-1001 according to the internet, psp-1001 was sold in USA, psp-1000 was sold in Japan.

I pulled out the expanded Sony battery and it is 3.6v 1200 ma

Is this close enough to be the same?

Options

Lithium ion battery voltage is mostly irrelevant. It is actually a floating range between 3.3 and around 4.2V, depending on how charged it is.

1200mAh is actually for the PSP slim, original 1000 series use the 1800mAh battery.
