Goes to sleep when top cover is on or metal passes over logic board.

I have the same problem as here. But i tried to diagnose a bit more by moving my metal tweezers above the logic board slowly. When i get to a certain point near the display connector from left this problem happens. also it happens when ever any metallic object is moved close. I tried covering that area with paper tape, foil tape etc, but nothing seems to cure the problem. I think it might be some electrostatic damage to logic board.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

You need to ask your own question regarding your Macbook C2D getting sleepy when top cover connected? You have put your question as an answer for another persons problem. I do not believe this problem would be related to electrostatic discharge. How far to the left of the video cable do you get when it is put to sleep? Is your travel with the metal object near the front of the logic board, like the display connector, or further back?

Its away from the display connector when we look from optical drive, display connector, problem area. The distance is very near like half cm from the display connector.

Please give us the last 3 characters of your serial number so we can determine your exact machine and logic board. There are 11 different MacBook A1181 motherboards. Each with slightly different component placement on them.
