Hi,

Things to check:

Did you clean the charging contacts on the back of the watch, you didn’t say? The image in Step.4 of the guide shows the 4 contacts on the back of the watch. Two will be for power (usually the two outer terminals) and the other two (inner terminals) I assume are for the USB connection via the base.

Have you checked that the charging base works OK?

Check for continuity from the charging contacts on the back of the watch through to the circuit board in the watch using an Ohmmeter in case there is a break in the charging connection between the two points.

Thanks for your reply.

The charging base worked perfectly before I unassembled the watch and charged just fine.

I haven't cleaned the contacts on the backplate, as they were working before I took the watch apart. I can try that and comment again (but I don't think it will help)

Lastly, I don't have a Ohmmeter to check.

@reesevader

With power problems having a DMM (digital multimeter) is a basic requirement.

Unless you spot something obviously wrong it is the only thing that will help you to find out where the problem may be.

Only suggested cleaning the contacts because when handling etc the contacts surface can become greasy from perspiration from the fingertips etc which may prevent a good electrical contact.
