How do you erase the memory on the hard drive
i want to erase or restart the memory on my computer because i don't know the password and i can't download anything with out it

Hello leticia.
No need to erase the hard drive. Insert the installation disc that was provided with your mac. Start your mac holding the C key to boot on it. Then go to Utilities>Reset password.
