How to get nano sim on microsim tray on galaxy tab a 9.7 p555

Block Image

I’m so stupid because i try to insert the nano Sim on microSim tray and it didn't work. Also the Sim card go to the inside the tablet now. I couldn't get the sim card outside. Try to use small kinfe(?) and didn't work too. So how can I do now? I don't have the ifixit tool.

Hi,

Your best option is to open the tablet and try to gently push the card out from the back of the SIM card reader.

Trying from the front may only damage the card reader pins more than hopefully they haven’t been already.

Here’s the Ifixit Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 guides. I realize that you said that your model was an SM-P555 but there is no difference in opening it to access the systemboard. Your model has 3G/LTE capability and the T550 doesn’t.

Worst case is that even if you get the SIM card out is the card reader (supplier example only - part is compatible with a SM-P555) has been damaged and will have to be replaced. You will need smd soldering skills and tools to do the repair.

If trying this seems too daunting, contact a reputable, professional mobile phone repair service and ask for a quote.
