Non responsive to touch

Hi, Hope someone could help,

Bought an ipad on ebay who sold it as needing a new digitizer, opened it up to find he has broken the clips for the digitizer to hold it in place.

Is there anyway to secure it in and is this causing the issue?

Many thanks!

Luke

Ever get this fixed? Mine is the same way, everything is working, inverts, resets, etc. etc. the touch screen doesn't respond though. I am certain that the replacement digitizer i received was defective at this point. If everything else functions, other than these clips popping off, the digitizer must be bad. Many people's iPad's work fine without these clips

I have fixed these clips before on an iPod nano... They are EXTREMELY difficult to replace the parts from another clip. I know that there are some people who can desolder them and solder on new ones, but it is incredibly difficult.
