The sound drops after a few seconds

When people call me, they stop hearing me after a few seconds but I can hear them.

I tried other iPhones and it s not the network.

Any advice?

the microphone is held in the dock connector, you'll need to check your connection..no.4 is on properly or replace that part.iPhone 3GS Dock Connector Replacement
