Won't Charge, changed the dock connector
Hi, looking for some advice, just spent a few hours looking but can't seem to find a definate answer. My iphone wont charge or connect to a PC, I bought a new charging dock and installed it but still no luck. Got a battery arriving soon but I really can't see that doing the trick it does seem to be charging but at a very very slow speed..what could it possibally be ??
Is this a good question?

Thanks OldTurkey, much appreciated. I'll swap the battery 1st and then look into the fuses and report back. Regards

Right guys, the battery arrived and as expected it made no diffrence whatsover. So I got my microscope out and closely inspected all the fuses outlined in the images above. One looks as if its alot darker than all the others around it (highlighted on the image), could this be causing the problem ? if so is there any way of bridging it with a blob of solder or is that going to cause more problems....15w Soldering iron at the ready :) so any help will be appreciated.

get the multimeter out and see whether you have continuity/resistance on that fuse. A blob of solder will sort it out most easiest of all the solutions to fix it. Did you look at the pins on the connector 4?

Pins look fine on the connector Pollytintop, sits really flush on the motherboard too. Im not fimiliar with the fuses so would you say the one I pointed out could be the problem, and if so do I just plonk a blob of solder on top of it or do I pair it to another one.
