iPhone won't turn on with charging port connected

I was having an issue with the phone not charging, the microphone not working, and the phone restarting. With recommendations from others, I switched out the charging port with a new one. Before installing it, I tested it and the phone worked fine.

After installing it and putting everything in, the phone now won’t start with the charging port connected. I have to have the charging port cable disconnected in order for it to turn on. If I plug it in after it’s on, it will work, but it ends up shutting off after a little bit. I don’t see anything in the logs.

I really need help on this, so if anyone has any advice or anything, I would really appreciate it.

Sounds like a bad charging port. Replace it with an OEM charging port pulled from an iCloud locked device. Should fix the issue!

The charging port wasn't the issue. I just replaced it with a good one that I tested before installing, and after installing I started having issues. I don't know why, but for some reason, removing the L-shaped bracket above the charging port made it work, and after that I was able to attach it back. So my issue is fixed, but I don't have a clue why.
