Thunderbolt not working after battery replacement, suggestions?

I replaced the battery in my son’s 2016 MacBook Pro 13”. Everything pretty much went off without a hitch except for the 2 thunderbolt ports on the left hand side of the machine. Neither of these ports is now working.

Nothing seemed like it got broken during the disassembly and plugging everything back together again also seemed to go smoothly.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Do you have a UDSB-C power meter like this Satechi USB-C Power Meter If you do are you able to see the power services from either port?

Otherwise you’ll need to just replace the port connector assembly MacBook Pro Retina (A1706 & A1707 Late 2016-2017) USB-C Board
