iPhone 6s won't charge or turn on after being left in a drawer for 1yr

Hi there,

I got a new phone a year ago and after transferring all of the data from the 6s, I turned it off and left it in a drawer for about a year.

I recently found it and decided to do something with it, but the phone won’t turn on. When I plug it in, there is no battery icon and my USB power meter says it draws 0 amps.

I tried replacing the battery, but it didn’t help, the phone still won’t charge.

The charging port/dock connector is clean, there is no debris.

You will need to rule out the charge port. If it still doesn’t charge it will be one of the charging IC’s Tristar or Tigris that will need to be replaced.
