Gevey sim doesn't work after I changed my display

Hi everyone,

As stated in the title, I just changed my iPhone 4 screen and suprisingly I don't have any more network, which I used to have with gevey sim. Is there a step that I missed or did wrong?

Thanks for your help,

Hello,

A few possible things to look for:

1) The dock has a black cable with a metal push connector that connects right beside the battery plug. Insure this is correctly plugged in. Redo it a few times.

2) The very top, middle screw for the black plate that cover the connectors is a ground. Insure you put the long screw into this spot, and the metal plate has the little silver piece still attached to it.

Hope this helps,

Thanks for your quick reply! Here is the thing, I tested my phone with the original sim card and it work perfectly, so could it be the gevey device that died painfully or do I still have to open my phone to check it out?

Hello,

If the original sim worked properly, then it wont be a hardware problem. Did you insure you followed the instruction for the Gevey?

That is one guide. Google will show you more depending upon your iOS.

Hope this helps,

Thank you so much for your insights. I made it work without any problems before but I suppose these little devices are more fragile than I thought. I'll wait for the software unlock, which I'm fond of :p.

Take care,

David

you could be waiting a long time for a software unlock (unless your on baseband 1.59). the last one was over a year ago. not sure if anybody is currently working on one. but correct me if you know otherwise.
