NO Charge, Home button function after Glass replacement

Just replaced the screen glass in the old 3G. Turned on ok but wouldn't connect/charge and home button wouldn't quit programs. Thought it might be the 1,2,3 connections, but no change. Now has dead battery. Any ideas?

The lacking functions all have in common, Flex Cable #4, which is the Dock Flex Cable. Carefully reseat Connector #4 to the Logic Board.

Update

So do I tighten the screw more? Does it need the sticker for insulation?

Replaced dock connector (Thanks, Cable 4 was snapped through). Still won't charge or turn on.

Changed Dock Connector as advised. Now will not charge or turn on. There was a screw with a sticker covering it - is this important?

by

The Logic Board Screw with the "Do not remove" sticker can be important for battery function. This Screw helps to provide firm pressure over the battery contacts to the Logic Board contacts, allowing the battery to function.

by

The "Do No Remove" sticker is a warranty sticker. It has no importance in the iPhone function.
