LCD Backlight turns off

Hi all,

The backlight turns off in my macbook. I have changed the inverter, the inverter cable, and the logic board, and still have the same problem. What have I to change now?

It turns off when the backlight is at high levle and sometimes at lowest level. In Apple's technical service they told me that the problem was the logic board, but i've changed it and it's doing the same. Before change the logic board, I changed the inverter and the inverter cable.

Please tell us more about this. Is there any kind of a redish hue to the whites when the backlight is working or any flickering? Did you replace the inverter cable new or used? What are the last 3 characters of your serial number so we can know your exact machine?

Tnx for your quick answer. I have a white macbook late 2007 penryn/santa rosa. There is not redish hue to the whites, but sometimes, before it turns off, i can see a short flickering, but not always. The inverter cable is used and I have another one used too. Last trhree characters are Z62.

Have you reset your Pram and SMC since installing the different motherboard?
