Microphoe sounds very quiet
Using my Samsung Galaxy A40, During calls I cannot be heard unless I use loudspeaker. Also, recorded videos have poor sound.
Is this a good question?

Is the phone in a protective case at all?
If so, does it work properly when removed from the case? It it works OK when removed from the case it may be that the case is blocking the voice inlet hole located at the bottom edge of the phone
If not in a case, try using a vacuum cleaner to clear the voice inlet hole. It may be blocked with lint etc. (see image below for microphone voice inlet hole location)
Do not use a pin or probe to try and clear it as you may damage the microphone that is located behind the hole.
If still no good after trying this, then there may be a problem with the phone’s microphone. The phone would need to be opened and the problem further diagnosed.
