A few months ago my friend dropped my ipod and when i tried to turn it on it had the "white screen of death." i wanto know if there is a way to fix my ipod? If so what is it?

Not sure what iPod you have but you might try this first. Hold the home button then while still holding down the home button hold volume up button then while still holding those buttons go head and hold the power off button and hold that until you see the apple sign.

What model and generation is it?
It definitely sounds like you broke your LCD screen. They're not all that difficult to replace. I have replaced many that people have broken from a drop.
