Speaker, mic, and headphone jack no longer function.

Due a small mishap with water the ear speaker, speakerphone, mic and headphone jack no longer work. Data, GPS and all other functions work fine. I can make calls but have no sound. Is there any way to repair this?

Hi!

I have a very similar problem.

I had water in, but could open all and dry it out with rice. Everything is working fine now, only the ear speaker doesn't (earphones and room speaker work perfectly).

I tried to clean out the earphone jack as it was explained in youtube, but no effect. Is it possible that one of the cables 1, 2 or 3 is responsible for the ear speaker? Could I have replugged them badly?

Thanks for all answers!

Markus

Im also having the same problem, one morning my iPhone started making crackling and hissing noises, then all audio stopped working, speaker, mic, headphone jack wouldnt work.

At first i thought my phone was stuck in headphone mode and that the headphone jack could be faulty, i replaced it and it has not fixed the problem.

I cant figure out what else the problem could be.

If my speaker is water damaged, would that cause the mic and headphone jack to stop working or vice versa ?

Depends on how much water damaged it. Water and electrons do not play well together!
