Seagate 320 drive doesn't work with original cable
Attempting to install a 320GB SATA Notebook HD 5400
Drive going to work? If so, do you sell cable?
Is this a good question?
Hi! Sorry to say it, but your laptop only works with standard ATA/IDE drives, not SATA. It's not just a matter of a cable -- the IDE controller in the computer needs to support SATA, which it doesn't. You'll need to get a standard IDE hard drive, and unfortunately there's no other way about it.
The drive you bought will work in MacBooks, but not iBooks or PowerBooks.
