After replacing Front Panel - weak Wifi Signal strength?

Hi,

I successfully replaced the Front Panel (with some drawbacks, I broke the Volume/Power Flex Cable while disassembling the iPod) but now the Wifi Signal strength seems lower than before, especially when my hand is in the near of the upper left corner where the antenna is located.

The Wifi Antenna is still connected to the logic board (I guess, as I would'nt have any signal if it was disconnected?).

I don't remember if there was any connection between the Wifi Antenna and the iPod Steelcase for better connectivity.

Has anyone had a similar problem?

Checked the connector of the wifi antenna, perfectly connected. The antenna seems a little bit wrinkly, maybe thats why the signal is weaker.

I think I have to live with it, too afraid to break the power/volume cable again if changing the wifi antenna.

It is common for the wifi antenna to become partially disconnected when doing the screen repair. Look at the connection under the board to ensure it is all the way connected.

Check to see if the wi-fi ribbon has any nicks or tiny tears. I have had them go in and out when that happens. Is it pushed all the way in?

But how do you know what's the problem with the antenna? It doesn't seem broken or anything, I just don't know how to fix it.

what is a place i can get it done for me cause im a little afraid i will ruin my i pod? and how much would that be?

Yeah mines doing the exact same thing i really need help, the only time i get 3 bars is when my ipod is on the router and then when i step 2 steps back it has no Wi-Fi . FML!!!
