Do F1-12 and Arrow key use the same butterfly hinges?

Hi,

as the question states. I have had to replace all my key caps, but the arrow keys just won't fit. It seems the hinges are too big for the keys.

Do the Arrow and F1-12 keys use the same hinges?

If not, could you please upload a comparison picture?

Unfortunately, I can't check the F-keys anymore because I already put on all the caps and I'm afrraid of breaking the caps...

Thank you very much!

Your keyboard is made up with 11 different key sizes! As you can see here

So yes the arrow key parts are different than the Fn keys and not transferable.

So you need to use the correct part for the given key. Here’s a good source for the needed parts: MacBook Air 2020 > Type-R keys (Magic keys, a.k.a. older better Scissor keys)
