I can't seem to get a new battery to charge in an iPhone XR.

Have installed two different new batteries in an Iphone XR. Plug the charger back in and it just sits in a boot loop. I see various current draw from the volt/amp meter that I have the USB plugged into so I know it’s trying something. But it’s just stuck in a boot loop. I left the new batteries to charge for multiple hours and nothing. If I plug the original battery in everything is fine. Any feedback would be great.

Answer this question I have this problem too

where did you get the batteries from?

@hootonberg

One came from Mobilesentrix and the other was from MobileDefenders.

@itsd_btech ok good so we can eliminate those an a potential issue. Maybe try a DFU mode restore?

I tried that on both, nothing. I've have another battery I ordered from here. I'll see if that's the fix.

If it works fine with the original battery but doesn't work with the aftermarket ones I would have to say the batteries you bought were probably not the best quality. I buy my batteries from fixez.com and I haven't had any problems with them. They even have the original to chip from texas instruments. It's what tells the battery health and percent of charge. It can have issues if you have a cheap battery.

Allan, thanks for the feedback. I'm tearing this phone down today (again) to install a battery I purchased from fixit. Also to see why the taptic engine isn't responding as well. Wish me luck and I'll keep y'all posted.

Battery works just fine.Problem now is my taptic engine and lower speaker don’t work. I’ve tried different taptic engines and different speakers and went all the way through to replace the charge port cable assembly. Interchanged the taptic and speaker on the new charge port assembly and nothing. Haptics are still enabled in the settings and all that jazz. Anyone have any ideas?
