My MacBook won’t turn on , Apple said the motherboard has overheated.

I left my charger on overnight and the Macbook was very hot in the morning. It wouldn’t turn on at all. Apple are charging too much for a repair so I’m trying to do it myself. When i took out the motherboard I think i may have snapped one of the black ribbon cables.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Everything I'm finding is showing that a new logic board for that model is going to cost $200+ and I'm only seeing them on ebay.
