iPad Air 3 touch screen section not working after replacement.

I replaced the display on my iPad Air 3 with the i fixit screen, but for some reason there is about an inch wide streak down the middle of the screen that touch doesn’t work on, yet it works everywhere else. Any thoughts on what could fix this?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Try reseating the connectors. If that doesn’t fix it then you have a defective screen or a damaged connector/ribbon cable. While you have it apart inspect the cables carefully and make sure the connectors aren’t bent. If everything looks good contact ifixit and get it replaced under warranty.

Reynald, is the broken connector on the ribbon cable or the motherboard? Can you post a picture of the damaged connector?

The ribbon cable is I think the one for the home botton which seem to work, my problem is really half of the screen that will not respond check the pic , one show some damage to the circonference of the screen that also could be the problem of the intermittent screen
