ideling fast then slow.
Hi i have a 2005 cavalier it was idling at about 6000 rpm's and now 300-500 rpm's and it wants to go when it's in gear then stalls. Can anyone help me please?

Thanks but it was a large vacuum leak under the air breather.

take it to auto zone and get a free computer diagnostic.

it could be ohh so many things. has any work been done lately? Any check engine lights?

If your car's idling at 6000 RPM you have bigger problems.
