repaired home button now phone dead

i opened my iphone to try and repair my home button but when i put it back together i had nothing but a dead phone which was working before

Hello,

Did you take your mainboard out? If not, here are some possible solutions:

1) You likely do not have the connectors plugged in. I would check the 3 connectors where the screen plugs into the board, and the dock connection.

Likely, your phone is fine, but no picture on the screen, leading you to assume it is dead.

2) If connectors are fine, and you did not take the mainboard out, hold the top and home button down. Even if you do not see a picture, the phone will turn on. After about 2 minutes, try the mute switch. Does it vibrate? Try also plugging into a computer, does it connect?

all connectors are plugged in ok, tried top ad home button still nothing but i do have a dodgy sleep button, i lent my cable for the computer out so will get it back tomorrow.
