transporting applications using the fire wire

when you first install system software it says u can firewire to another computer and transfer or use all the info from that computer. if i have computer with no system installed can i do that

teach, you really need to stay on one question and follow through with it, rather than opening question after question. Chosen Solution

Install system 10 and use migration assistant in the utilities folder. This machine wil not boot from system 9 but will run it in emulation (classic mode).

Not to be a wise acre, but you can't transfer what is not there. So my answer would be no. Maybe I misunderstand the question.
