Galaxy Tab S turns itself off at random - new battery did not help

Hi everyone! I am having issues with an old Galaxy Tab S 10.5 (sm t805)

I have replaced the battery twice now and I keep getting the same issue where the tablet works for some time and suddenly dies, when I plug it back in the shown percentage is random - it does not correspond the to the percentage shown when the tablet is booted.

I can sometimes charge it overnight and come back to 8% percent charge, or charge it for 10minutes and see 100% battery charge.

However, no matter what the percentage is the battery it still dies at random.

Issue persists on LineageOS 14.1 as well as stock.

Tried reinstalling the OS with no luck :?

Any clues?
