iPhone 8 Won't Turn On, No screen, Very hot

Hello!

My iPhone 8 has stopped working after I charged it, the screen was black and the phone was very hot, I tried ‘hard reset’ and charge it after my battery was drained. However, it didn’t work at all (not getting even warm from charging). I ordered a new battery and a board to charge the battery. The old battery was dead, I couldn’t charge it even with the board. The phone still didn’t boot up with the new battery, the screen was black, the board got hot in the upper part

Edit: Found out that u3100 is getting very hot.

Can anyone tell me what kind of rosin or what is he using to make it, I have been looking for freezing spray but I didn’t find one where I live… if there other methods I would like to hear them too.

The board has developed a short, most likely on the PP_VDD_MAIN line. Test this line first. I have marked a test point for you.

Thanks for your fast reply. I'm not sure what 'PP_VDD_MAIN' is as I don't have any schematics of the phone.

@mrfarnhigh That reading doesn’t sound right but it is not shorted. You need to rule out faulty parts first, after that you will need a set of schematics and Broadview software as well as other testing equipment like a DCPS and some squid connectors to diagnose any further.

This might either be because of the battery or overheating. Try to remove the battery or cool the wole phone for a day, and then turn on.
