Can I change my iMac's processor?
I have a Imac 21.5' with Intel Core i3 3.06 GHz and i'd like to change it to i5 or i7, it is possible?
Is this a good question?

The socket should be able to take the upgrade and I know with the previous series of processors the iMac was able self determine which processor it had in it as far as speed. I have not updated an i3 to an i5/7 but based on what has been the past for the intel iMacs it sounds plausible.
NOTE: the only ones we have seen were we needed to make a terminal entry to compensate was where putting in a core 2 duo in an iMac with an original core duo did not let us install Lion. It had to have a terminal entry before it would load Lion

Also this would blow any warranty on your computer including any future Apple service recalls.
