Nexus S fell on concrete. Display broken.

My new Nexus S just fell on a concrete. Afterwards there is nothing shown on the display. I receive calls and I can see image when I expose it to direct sunlight (or strong room-light) otherwise the display is black. Which part of it might be broken and what should I buy to replace it? Help really appreciated.

I would most certainly start with the LCD. It is available here and I am sure at many other places as well. The instructions are here and it looks pretty straight forward. Good Luck.

it seems that the backlight in the LCd has gone bad. The backlight is part of the LCD and therefore you would need to replace the LCD itself. There also might be damage to the logic board itself but you would need to physically inspect it for damage and replace parts as needed.

What is Logic Board? Would it be expensive if I need to repair it too?

Ceck your model.

i9023 has LCD screen, but i9020 is AMOLED and does not need a backlight.
