iMac boots , plays sound, but shuts down halfway.

Hello, my iMac is shutting off halfway when booting. It plays the sound, but after a while it shuts down by itself. The shutdown time has varied, sometimes it shut down when the progress bar is filled , sometimes halfway through. Because of this, I think it’s probably not a issue with the power cable.

I also have bootcamp. I can boot to windows, but after about 5 minutes it shuts off again. This problem suddenly appeared when my mac has shut down by itself when I was away, and when I came back and tried to boot it back up it shut down by itself.

I have tried resetting the NVRAM, but after the second boot sound when resetting, it shut off by itself again.

I think the reset was successful though. When I tried to boot after that, the opening chime was noticeably louder, and the screen was brighter. I usually set my brightness and sound levels to low levels.

I have also tried reinstalling macOS, but it shut down by itself before I could do anything. I have read on another question that it could be a thermal issue, but I definitely can feel the fan vibration when booting. I also got HWMonitor installed on windows before it shut down, and all the temperatures looked fine.

Sometimes when it shut down, I could hear an audible click.

Could it be a problem with arcing or short circuit? The back feels oddly warm, and all I did was starting computer for 15 minutes. I have never cleaned the insides since it was purchased in 2016.

Please do not hesitate on asking me questions about it. Any help is greatly and sincerely appreciated.

Not sure about the exact model, it’s a late 2015 i7 6700k / r9 m395x with 3tb fusion drive.
