Can't reconnect ribbon 7

hi guys please help me if you can, i took apart my iphone 3gs and when putting it back together i stuffed the ribbon 7 connection and now i just cant click it back in place. can you help please? any help would be much appreciated thanks.

Copied this from another question I answered.

If you have a magnifying glass it helps. Sometimes you dont get that "snap" because the parts fit poor. OEM components are always the best fitting. What I do, is get it to the point where it is connected, and then I take tape and I tape that ribbon, to remove any force that will want it to pop out. It works every time for me. Best of luck

thank you for that quick reply vry much appreciated friend, also with sticking it down do you mean to just place some sticky tape over the top to prevent it from moving?? will it interfere with the actual connection?

I've had the same issue, my problem was part of the metal was bent, I used a flat head and pushed it back into place.

Yes prevent it from moving and lifting. The circles should be on top of each other obviously, the tape is there to secure it more. It won't interfere unless it is totally covering something that isn't supposed to be covered.
