iPhone shows charging bar but battery remains empty

Hello,

I replaced the display of the iPhone.

My girlfriend had broken the glass.

After the conversion the iPhone is not charging anymore, but it indicates that it loads.

I've removed the battery and charged it in another iPhone, that worked without problems.

I've tried different charger with the iPhone, it always shows the same result.

The iPhone syncs but it does not charge on the computer, too. Although it always shows the loading bar.

I just changed the dock connector with a new one and I still have the same issue.

Any ideas?

Have you checked the dock connector for dirt and debris? it sounds like this part is the problem. The ac pin is different to the one that recognises a usb cord is inserted, sometimes it's as simple as cleaning off a bit of pocket lint! Check dock connector is on the logicboard right, battery connector isn't damaged (easily done) and that no crimps/cracks etc in cabling.

how about if you change the board to the other phone? this will tell you if you have a problem with a faulty new part, or the problem is the charging circuitry of your phone. The other idea is to put the original display back in..some oem products can cause the strangest signs..
