Thunderbolts problem. They don't want to work.

Hi, My 2017 MacBook Pro without Touch Bar (A1708) has a problem.

I can’t use anything because I have 2 thunderbolt ports and they don’t work, only one I can use for charging.

Within the information about system I can’t see thunderbolts and every time I power on my MacBook I get a report ‘‘USB ports was disabled’’ I tried SMC restart and don’t work.

Do you know how I can repair them both? Is it software or hardware problem? Thanks

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

@petrpetr SMC is for fans and battery control. I'm not sure what the problem is but few things to try is a PRAM/NVRAM reset (CMD-SHIFT-P-R), and booting into SAFE MODE (Hold SHIFT while powering on).

Also @danj is the mac guru so hopefully he sees this comment and can assist.

You indeed have a hardware issue. Sadly the Thunderbolt controller chip has failed. The Green outlined chip will need replacing or you’ll need a new logic board, Ouch!
