Why isn't my touchscreen responding after digitizer repair.

LS,

My iPhone 3G stopped responding to my touch. Looking on this website i figured i had to install a new digitizer. So i replaced it using the front panel kit.

After i fixed this problem it still doesn't work. I think this problem could be a software problem, but i wouldn't know how to fix it.

Do you have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

What makes you think the fault is software related?

Did you notice the issue after an update / jailbreak attempt?

Firstly, try resetting / restoring to see if that works.

If not, then I would say disassemble and check your connections, especially cable 2 at the top end of the phone.

Did you definitely buy the right version of touch and fully secured it?

Sounds stupid but you wouldnt believe how many I repair with the wrong touchscreens on or the cable only half way home.

Hope I helped.

Well, i think it's a software problem because with my old digitizer it worked after it was 'broken' for a while.

I already tried the restoring/resetting, but it doesn't work as well.

I also bought the right hardware to fix my iPhone with, so that couldn't be the problem as well.

The only thing i could do is check the connections, but i don't know if that's going to help.

Thanks for the questions!
