The March 2015 update of Apple's 13" MacBook Pro Retina Display, model A1502, features fifth-generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors and introduces the Force Touch trackpad.

Trackpad cable zif connector broke in battery replacement, now what

I replaced my Macbook battery and attempted to re-fasten the keyboard ribbon, then realized the ZIF connector was not in the “unlocked” position, and in trying to lift it, a bit broke off. Should I just take it to a third party repair shop? The goal of replacing the battery myself was to avoid extra repair fees but now I’m totally regretting it.
