PSP won’t load UMD’s
PSP functions properly door and laser work fine and are intact but I put a UMD into it and it processes for a period of time and then comes back and says unable to read disk

Hi, there could be multiple faults causing this to happen. I think the most common one is outdated PSP. The most recent version is 6.xx i believe, if your psp is anything less than the most current release, most games will fail to load. It's been a while since I had my PSP on, it should be in settings and software update.

So I completed the update to 6.61 cleaned my UMD’s and it still won’t read them.
Does it do this with all your UMD's? Have you tried to clean the lens with some compressed air?

Yes it does this with all my UMD’s and I have cleaned the lens of the laser several times. Nothing seems to be working
