Why the game keeps hanging?

My PS3 hangs quite often and i have to off and on again , i always play a game called "Resistance 2" anybody that has the same thing when u play Resistance 2 please comment here and if anyone knows how to improve pls answer

Does it hang on other games?

Clean the disc off with a soft cloth, if this fails try a different game

Update your findings as I have little info to use
