Is this normal to be able to see when the display is off?

I force restarted this phone and got it to make noise but I’m not seeing an image. when I shine a flashlight on it I can see a small box, it almost looks like the battery charging symbolbut it’s not, in the lower center of the screen. is this normal or is the screen needing replaced?

No, that's just the in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, it's completely normal, as it's kinda transparent
