If I replace the motherboard, will it fix my charging issue

My phone will not charge, I believe that the device responsible for telling the phone where to draw power is faulty, which I have been told is an issue with the motherboard.

My question is, my phone being a t-mobile device, can I replace my motherboard with an unlocked Verizon board, and not have any trouble?

Before you swap the motherboard, try replacing the charge port if you haven’t already. Just make sure you get the right variant for the port. Otherwise it will say SIM not detected.

If that doesn’t work you should be ok to swap the board for that unlocked version just make sure the model number on the charge port matches otherwise you’ll have the issue I mentioned above. If they don’t match up just transfer the charge port with the board.

@thepianodoctor yeah an unlocked motherboard should do just fine. Just make sure you have the corresponding charge port and cameras with said motherboard.

Actually I also have a question, my device, just after a year of normal usage started showing battery problem. I replaced it's battery but it didn't helped, I handed it to a repairing shop but that guy was unable to fix it. I think that there must be a leakage somewhere or something like that, and there I want to ask u guys whether changing motherboard will work or not. If anyone knows anything then please tell me.
