Will store repair from my warranty?

Block Image

I was working on my 2020 MacBook Pro system, just one month in use, suddenly one thin blue vertical line appeared on the screen just down the camera.

I tried to know why it happened, instantly  I shutdown and turn on, but the line still appeared. I tried to restart and I could still turn on the laptop . However, after sometime,  I again shutdown my laptop, and later when i try to turn on, the laptop is not turning on.

I couldnt help myself even following suggested methods in your contents.

Could anyone help me? Please!

I have warranty (bought from Australia),  I thought of sending it by postal from Bhutan (the country I reside presently) but I m not sure whether the store will repair it or not. Will they repair this problem for free from warranty?

Attached the photo showing  similar  blue line appeared on my laptop here. OR similar can be seen here: Google Search: thin vertical line appears and macbookpro 2020 did not turn on

Thanks for your help! Stay safe

Regards

First make sure you don’t haven anything covering the FaceTime camera! The air gap between the lid and uppercase is very narrow so any covering other than a strip of tape is too thick! the pressure can cause damage to the display.

Yes, your screen has a issue which should be covered under warranty! If not it will cost you quite a lot! Around $1200 USD.

With a clean screen you’ll need to contact Apple to arrange service under warranty. But you do have a bit of a problem ;-{ You are in a different country from where you bought the system and clearly getting your self back to Australia with the current COVID limitations in travel is not going to happen. See if Apple has warranty support in Bhutan that you can leverage. Shipping your system Australia will require a friend who can act as your proxy. Shipping it to them and they go to the Apple Store where you bought the system.

Thanks

@upee - I hope so! As long as you don't give them a reason not to.
