Trackpad loud click after battery replacement.

I recently replaced the battery in my MacBook pro. Afterwards the trackpad started making a loud clicky noise when pressed. I suspect something is wrong with the haptic motor, since it's only loud when on. My idea right now is, that disconnecting the trackpad cable, reset the motor to some kind of default Stage that's very loud. I've already tried resetting PRAM and SMC.

Has anybody else experienced this?

Sounds like your settings got messed up. Review this Apple T/N How to use the Force Touch trackpad

I've tried adjusting the click response and force touch button, but it doesn't seem to have any effect unfortunately.

@crille0412 - Then you'll need a new trackpad [linked product missing or disabled: IF123-057-3] as there is no adjustment physically. Here's the guide to put it in MacBook Pro 13" Function Keys 2017 Trackpad Replacement

Yeah, I'll probably resort to that. Just seems like something that should be fixable via software....

Thanks for your help though.
