Is my topcase assembly affecting my keyboard backlight?

Hi everyone,

Some of the keys of my backlit keyboard look faded in comparison to other keys. For example, my G was brighter than my H or C.

I took off the keys to take a look and found that the illumination light of the G covers the entire space for the key, whereas the illumination lights of the H and C respectively do not over the entire key space. I know my description may not make sense, so I took pictures of the phenomenon (I don't know how to insert them here, though.)

My question is, is this normal. If there's a way to upload the pictures here I'd be more than happy to do it. Otherwise I can email them if need be.

Thanks,

Chris

To start, to reattach the keys if your having trouble try taking a look in youtube for a video. For the backlight, not to be rude have you had a liquid spill? if so, that's the reason for the backlight being so dim. You could try two things, tear down MB and remove the black backlight cover carefully and clean it. while your there you might as well clean the keyboard remove the clear plastic and remove the keyboard clean it. just it let dry well. Or the other is, if you didn't spill nothing, you could find another backlight on eBay for around $45 new. Or you could live with a dim backlight. Good luck with that.
