LCD Consumable Tape for LCD Screen - Electronics Repair Tape question

This device is not specific to the question but does happen to be a device I couldn’t find tape for and had to work around this issue.

I had a Lenovo 2-in-1 I worked on a while back and I had to find this LCD tape for the first time and was able to find it pretty much with ease anywhere I wanted after I found the name of it.

Yesterday I was working on this Asus Gaming Laptop and couldn’t even find parts, or a guiide with a part number on the website. I couldn’t find the tape searching the internet with what I knew. But I did get a lot of results for Electronics Repair Tape, what is this stuff? I see it mostly on Amazon by companies I never heard of and I don’t normally trust anything like that without some good reasoning to backup there product. Is this stuff even usable for these situations as like a universal solutions? I just worry about if this is the same thing or not.

I’m new to working with these tapes. I’ve seen them used plenty in mobile repairs for the battery and stuff, but never til recently ran into laptops that have screens held in by this tape. Any advice my fellow techs can offer on what to use/do is so greatly apprecaited!
