LCD Backlight not working.

I followed the instructions for the removal of the top screen and the LCD. I attempted to put them back together and the backlight does not work. A faded image comes up.

Was the phone water damaged before? Are you using a brand new LCD? There's a possibility that you just received a defective unit. If water damaged, then it could be the backlight coil, or even corrosion on the connector.
