Why is my screen dark/black?

Block Image

When I turn my MacBook, I can still see my screens but it is dark,

I’m not sure what the problem would be, do I need to change my backlight? or can I just have a new SSD and format?

Let’s see if we can narrow down what happening here. Can you plug in an external display to see if the image on it is OK. If it is then you've narrowed the issue to the internal display needing to be replaced. If the external display is showing the same effect then the GPU logic on the main logic board is failing and you likely need a new logic board to fix this.

Thank you for the response, I connected to external monitor and it was fine, the colors where showing fine no distortion, so it would be internal problem? Which requires display assembly replacement?

Dans right, plug up external and see what you get. That will tell you which way to go with the repair
