Cannot Choose Start-Up Disk on M1 MacBook Pro with Big Sur

I want to boot in Safe Mode but no disk will show up in my “Choose Startup Disk” menu.

I went through and (First Aid) repaired all Disks in the Disk Utility but I still can’t get them to show up.

I have these Disks currently in Disk Utility:

Internal = APPLE SSD AP0512Q Media

^ Container disk3

^ Macintosh HD (named)

Disk Images = Apple disk image Media

^ Container disk5

^ macOS Base System

This customer just got this new MacBook and I’d love to give them hope!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

What if you Option boot and try to Reinstall the OS. Disk Utility is seeing Macintosh HD so something is there. I would try reinstalling the OS and see what that does.
