That is normally done by your click wheel. While a song is playing, move your finger on the clickwheel in a clockwise direction, that should up the volume. Also, you might want to check under Menu>Setting>volume and see what the limit is set at. Of course all this will only work if your click wheel is working. If it is not, let us know.
