dropped in water now shows error code 29

My daughter washed her3Gs Iphone a week ago. I have tried to do a restore on it and now am getting an erro code 29. Does anyone know what that means or how to resolve it? I have restarted ITunes with phone connected as instructed. This is what I Tunes said to do

""Error 23, 28, 29: These errors may indicate a hardware issue with your device. Follow the steps in this article. Also attempt to restore while connected with the white USB Dock Connector cable that shipped with your device, on a known good computer and network to isolate this issue to the device. Robert, since you are dealing with liquid damage, I would definitely suggest you follow this guide first. After you get it cleaned, which will prevent headaches down the line, replace the battery. See what you get after that. The iPhone's/iPod's do some weird things after liquid damage....Good Luck

Thank you for your reply. I have pulled the phone apart and cleaned it. I will use the alcohol and brush as recommend to get a better clean. From all the research that I have done there are 2 Possible issues that most often occur. The battery being the most prevalent and then the docking plug being second. I will change one at a time and let you know the results.

Well Great news. After several ordering attempts and having the mail lost.. I was able to get a new battery and docking plug. After the install of both items--I decided to just do them together--the phone works perfect. It took less than an hour to do this and my daughter is very happy. Thank you for the support and help.
