Dead iPhone 4 in DFU MODE, 1600/1601 after conversion

Hello

i have an dead iPhone 4 in dfu mode after a color conversion from black to yellow. I can't restore it because itunes gives me the error 1600/1601, tried everything. I think it is a hardware problem, because i have always a black screen on it and it is only recognized in DFU mode.

So please help me out :(

petter, you will have better chances for people to answer your question if they see it as a question. right now it appears as an answer. Click on the link on the right side of this page "Ask a question" and give as much detail as possible. Do you get the 1600 error as well? What have you tried to fix it?

did you try to use tools like tinyumbrella to kick the phone out of the recovery mode?

+iReb works pretty slick and it is another one that is easy to use.

Yea i tried and it didn't work. I get the error 1600/1601 while restoring

Restore with Tinyumbrella and follow the instructions on here http://modmyi.com/forums/general/725672-... carefully to preserve your baseband. After that use fixrecovery and follow the instructions http://jaxov.com/2011/05/fix-ios-4-3-3-r... just as carefully. Let us know what if anything works for you.

it didn't work :( I think it is a hardware problem because there is no apple logo or something else. I used ireb and tiny umbrella and fix recovery - nothing helped me out.

What can be faulty?

Those error codes mean phone is not in Pwned DFU mode during restore.

Here is a way to make sure your iphone is...in fact...in "Pwned" DFU mode.

1. Turn the speaker up on your computer

2. When ever you put your phone in DFU mode you will hear 2 sets of beeps...one around 8 seconds & then again around 18 seconds. Pay attention to the sound.

3. Run iREB to put your phone in Pwned DFU mode...you should ONLY hear a high pitched "ding" when Pwned, NOT any beeps as well...like when putting into DFU.

iREB will STILL display message that phone is in Pwned DFU mode when this happens (ding & beeps). But, your phone is kicked back into DFU mode.

When this happens, close iREB, put your phone back in DFU & run iREB again. If all you hear is the "ding", you should be able to bypass those errors.
